THE EVENING:

Nothing is more fraught with discomfort – or titillating voyeurism  -  in conversation than SEX.  If you put “old age” and “sex” in a sentence together, you might lose everyone in the room to their own personal distress!  Beyond Barbie: Touchy Topics is going there anyway!

 

When Dawn Flores, artist, dancer, playwright, began approaching menopause, she knew she needed to transform the negative messages society had taught her about it so she researched the topic and came to understand menopause as an joyful opportunity to expand creativity and to step into one's full power.   She will share her interpretation of menopause as a fabulous, life-enriching opportunity.

 

Through a developmental psychology perspective, Jenn Reid, PhD, will talk about older women and sex, as well as share research in this area that will make you look forward this stage of your life - YES - women over 50 still have sex - and LOVE IT!   In a question and answer period, a panel of audacious women over 50 will candidly share the wisdom gleaned from their sexual experiences.  

 

This evening will also include descriptions and demonstrations of life- enhancing, juice generating exercises designed to keep you hot and healthy, no matter what your age.  Because of the explicit sexual content and language, this event is strictly for adults, 18 and older.
